The Junior Software Engineer (SWE1) role is onsite in Fort Meade, MD. Pay is $66.49–$90.04 per hour. The position supports Wyetech’s Geolocation and Data Integration mission for federal government customers. The engineer develops and maintains applications and analytics that automate data and metadata analysis. By integrating information from cyber and Signals Intelligence sources and building scalable processing solutions, the role supports intelligence analysis, collection activities, and technology discovery.

What you'll do

• Analyze mission requirements and design, develop, test, integrate, deploy, and maintain software
• build applications and analytics using Java and Python
• develop ETL processes
• use PySpark, Apache Pig, MapReduce, and Hadoop for distributed processing
• work with JSON and BSON
• develop data-tagging capabilities
• integrate data from multiple cyber and SIGINT sources
• troubleshoot software
• maintain technical documentation and support briefings and demonstrations.
