What you'll do

• Set up and operate conventional, special-purpose, and numerical-control machines to fabricate parts
• interpret blueprints and specifications
• select and secure tools and materials
• adjust machine controls
• inspect finished parts and assemblies for conformance
• install and test replacement parts
• consult with engineers and production personnel to resolve issues
• maintain production records.
