The School Nurse (Registered Nurse) role is onsite in East Walpole, MA, in a year-round school program. Starting annual salary is $89,250–$94,350. League School for Autism’s mission is to support student growth through education, advocacy, and an inclusive community. The nurse oversees student health and safety and coordinates health-related staff and daily activities across the school and residential program. The role manages health services, medication processes, screenings, records, staff training, and communication with families and outside providers to support students’ health needs.
What you'll do
- Manage a comprehensive school and residential health program consistent with applicable Massachusetts guidelines and regulations
- prepare medications for administration staff and train staff in medication administration
- coordinate mandated health programs and screenings
- monitor health and safety across program locations
- orient and train staff on health and safety needs
- maintain confidential health records
- inform parents and guardians of student health needs
- communicate with agencies and physicians
- coordinate health-related in-service training
- provide medical emergency coverage 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and phone consultation for medication or medical issues.

Why this role
Massachusetts Registered Nurse license required; DESE School Nurse license is a plus. A Licensed Practical Nurse with current Massachusetts certification and relevant experience may be considered at a negotiated rate.
