Bilingual PrEP Navigator

Job overview

The Bilingual PrEP Navigator role is onsite in Washington, DC. Compensation is $23.63–$29.53 per hour. Whitman-Walker Health provides care, advocacy, research, and education to support health, dignity, and inclusion. The navigator helps people at elevated risk for HIV access and remain engaged in PrEP services. Through education, outreach, testing, appointment coordination, and follow-up, the role supports prevention and connection to appropriate care and resources.

What you'll do

• Conduct community outreach and educational sessions
• explain PrEP services and facilitate appointments
• provide support for initial appointments
• conduct HIV and STD testing in clinic and mobile settings
• provide prevention counseling and referrals
• help clients address access barriers, insurance navigation, and prescription assistance
• support adherence and follow-up
• document activities and contribute to reports.

Why this role

Spanish or Amharic fluency is required. A bachelor’s degree or at least four years of direct experience is required. HIV testing certification and phlebotomy training are preferred. The role may include afternoon, evening, and weekend shifts and work at different organizational locations; provider support includes an on-call basis.
