The Special Needs Pastor role is onsite in Phoenix, AZ. Compensation is not specified. Christ’s Church of the Valley’s Special Needs Ministry works to provide an inclusive and supportive environment where people with special needs can grow in their understanding of God’s love. The role exists to lead inclusive ministry programming for children, teens, and adults and to support families and volunteers. By developing volunteers, coordinating events, and collaborating with Kids and Students Ministry teams, the pastor helps participants take part in church programming and supports the ministry’s mission.

What you'll do

• Recruit, onboard, train, and support volunteers
• build relationships with families and provide pastoral and practical support
• lead Special Needs Ministry programming across kids, students, and adults
• develop curriculum and activities that accommodate diverse learning and sensory needs
• collaborate with Kids and Students Ministry teams
• plan and execute ministry events
• manage attendance, check-ins, volunteer scheduling, and communications
• monitor ministry metrics and maintain documentation.

Why this role
