The Water Plant Operator role is onsite in Pascagoula, MS. Compensation is not specified. The operator runs and monitors municipal water treatment processes to help ensure safe, reliable, and compliant drinking water. The role supports plant operations through testing, process adjustments, maintenance, recordkeeping, and response to operational issues and emergencies.

What you'll do

• Operate and monitor water treatment equipment and processes
• test and analyze water samples for regulatory compliance
• adjust chemical feed rates and treatment processes
• maintain operational logs and reports
• inspect, troubleshoot, and perform minor equipment maintenance
• respond to alarms, emergencies, and after-hours call-outs as required
• follow safety and regulatory requirements
• assist with plant cleaning and maintenance
• coordinate with staff
• replace chlorine cylinders when needed
• monitor flows and chlorine residuals.
