What you'll do

• Match requisitions to specimen tubes
• collect blood and other samples using appropriate procedures
• submit blood tests to the laboratory
• enter patient and specimen information into the EHR
• take and document vital signs
• verify demographics and insurance
• apply vaccines
• communicate patient status to physicians
• follow HIPAA and OSHA requirements and dispose of sharps appropriately.
