Job overview

MRI Technologist II in Wichita, KS. This is an onsite position. Compensation is not specified. This role exists to perform MRI procedures, position and prepare patients, assess patients, and complete documentation for each study performed. The technologist will also observe safety regulations and aseptic techniques, use professional judgment, and participate in training new staff and instructing students.

What you'll do

• Demonstrates the ability to adapt technique/treatment to age of population served, including newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients, while providing care/service with respect to cultural differences and spiritual needs
• Positions and prepares patients for exams according to the type of procedure to be performed
• Performs procedures and assesses patients throughout and responds to patient needs as appropriate
• Completes appropriate documentation for each study performed
• Performs all computer and PACS functions Observes safety regulations and aseptic practice techniques to protect patients and staff
• Demonstrates knowledge of Universal protocols
• Uses professional judgment and critical thinking when performing procedures
• Participates in orientation and training of new staff members and instructs students during their clinical rotations
• Maintains thorough knowledge of the scanners and exam protocols in order to ensure the highest quality procedures
• Performs all other duties as assigned

Graduate of a Radiologic Technology school or Graduate of MRI Technology program

Experience

Graduate of a Radiologic Technology school or Graduate of MRI Technology program
