The Process Technician 3 — Photonics Manufacturing role is onsite in San Diego, CA, and pays an anticipated $30–$45 per hour. The full-time role works with Monarch Quantum’s Process Development and Engineering teams to develop and sustain manufacturing processes for photonic engines. The technician supports prototype builds and process development, operates and troubleshoots precision equipment, and documents process data. The work helps move processes from engineering development toward repeatable production while improving quality, capability, and manufacturing efficiency.

What you'll do

• Execute, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes
• operate, troubleshoot, and maintain precision equipment
• support die attach, wire bonding, soldering, reflow, cleaning, inspection, and curing
• set up equipment and materials for engineering builds
• collect and analyze process data
• assist with experiments and process characterization
• perform preventive maintenance and basic calibration
• maintain process documentation
• inspect assemblies
• support inventory, kitting, and laboratory organization
• maintain cleanroom and laboratory standards
• train and mentor junior technicians
• support transition to repeatable manufacturing.
