Lead Employment Consultant

The Lead Employment Consultant role is onsite in Bellevue, WA. Compensation is $45,000–$50,000 per year. Best Buddies International works to create opportunities for friendship, integrated employment, leadership development, inclusive living, and family support for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The role provides one-to-one vocational coaching and support through job search, placement, onboarding, and ongoing training. It also manages participant documentation and employer relationships, mentors employment consultants, and supports growth of the local Jobs program.

What you'll do

• Support participants with job searches matched to their skills and interests
• provide onboarding and early-stage workplace support with the goal of increasing independence
• build relationships with participants, families, guardians, vocational rehabilitation counselors, advocates, and employers
• advocate for fair treatment and wages
• maintain participant records and caseload reviews
• provide travel training or public transportation assistance
• support workplace safety education
• identify employer opportunities and funding prospects
• represent the organization at local events
• complete program paperwork and billing documentation
• mentor new Employment Consultants.
