The Qualified Mental Health Associate (QMHA) role is onsite at partner skilled nursing facilities in the Mt. Angel, Woodburn, and Salem, OR area. Compensation is $30.00–$35.00 per hour. Behavioral Health Solutions provides behavioral health services to people residing in skilled nursing facilities. Working under licensed mental health professionals, the QMHA provides direct and indirect support to patients managing mental health challenges. The role contributes to patient care through observation, therapeutic activities, group sessions, crisis support, and collaboration on care plans.

What you'll do

• Conduct routine patient observations and document findings
• assist with therapeutic activities and daily activities
• facilitate group therapy sessions and educational workshops
• provide crisis intervention and de-escalation when necessary
• collaborate on care plans
• maintain confidentiality
• assist with medication administration under licensed supervision
• record progress and communicate with patients, families, and providers
• follow policies, training, and mandatory reporting requirements.

Why this role

Requires full QMHA certification through the Mental Health Accreditation and Certification Board of Oregon, CPR and First Aid certification, TB screening within the last 12 months, and current COVID-19 vaccination or an exemption. Non-Violent Crisis Prevention certification is preferred.
