Roaming Maintenance Technician

The Roaming Maintenance Technician role is onsite, based in the City of Saint Peters, MO, with regular regional travel and daily travel within the region. Compensation is not specified. Fairway Management, a JES Holdings division, manages more than 250 apartment communities and single-family rental subdivisions and works toward providing quality affordable housing. The technician provides regional maintenance support, fills in at properties, and helps keep buildings and common areas in good condition. The role handles repairs, unit turns, preventive maintenance, inspection preparation, and staff training to support property operations and regulatory readiness.

What you'll do

• Provide routine maintenance support at regional properties, including rough carpentry, painting, and basic equipment or facility repairs
• prepare for state agency, investor, REAC, and INSPIRE inspections
• prioritize work orders
• maintain curb appeal
• lead unit make-ready work, including painting, carpet cleaning, and general cleaning as needed
• perform quarterly preventive maintenance checks
• troubleshoot, repair, and replace HVAC
• assist neighboring properties
• pick up supplies from area vendors
• train assigned staff on company and building systems, safety, and maintenance
• report to the Regional Manager and Maintenance Superintendent
• be available for after-hours on-call work
• travel within the region and to required training or conferences.

Why this role

Requires five years of multifamily, commercial, or hotel maintenance experience, HVAC EPA Type II Certification, and one to two years of verifiable HVAC troubleshooting, repair, and installation experience. HVAC EPA 608 Universal Certification is preferred.
