What you'll do

• Prepare plumbing estimates and material and labor takeoffs
• revise estimates for addenda and review requests for information
• bid open-shop and prevailing-wage work
• maintain unit-cost databases and vendor pricing
• obtain supplier quotes and assess project cost effectiveness
• develop relationships with general contractors
• follow up on bids and discuss final pricing
• meet bid deadlines and hand approved proposals to project managers.
