Outside Plant Technician

The Outside Plant Technician is an onsite role based in Dover, MA. 00-$29.00 per hour, and this role supports the technical operations department in maintaining network infrastructure. This role exists to ensure the reliability of coax and fiber optic networks through hands-on maintenance, repair, and emergency restoration. The technician contributes to network uptime by performing field-based tasks such as splicing, testing, and equipment adjustments.

What you'll do

• Detect, troubleshoot, and resolve system outages for data, video, and telephone services.
• Perform emergency restoration of coax and underground cables.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on power supplies and active components.
• Install, replace, and repair coaxial and fiber optic cabling.
• Operate bucket trucks, ladders, and field equipment.
• Maintain accurate work documentation and participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation.
