Registered Dental Assistant

The Registered Dental Assistant role is onsite in Los Angeles, CA. Compensation is $25–$28 per hour, plus benefits. South Central Family Health Center’s mission is to provide affordable, comprehensive health care and education in a welcoming, multicultural environment. The role supports a licensed dentist by preparing patients, treatment rooms, instruments and materials, and assisting with dental procedures. It also contributes to patient care through diagnostic imaging, oral-hygiene instructions, equipment upkeep, and operatory cleaning in accordance with applicable guidelines.

What you'll do

• Prepare treatment rooms and patients
• sterilize and deliver instruments
• assist the dentist with suctioning and instrument transfer
• select and prepare dental materials
• expose and develop dental radiographs
• update health histories
• provide oral-hygiene and postoperative instructions
• maintain dental equipment
• fabricate temporary restorations or custom impressions
• clean operatories according to American Dental Association guidelines.

Why this role

Requires California Board-approved radiation safety and coronal polishing courses, graduation from a California Board-approved RDA program, California RDA licensure, current BLS certification, and 1–3 years of RDA or CDA experience. English/Spanish bilingual ability is preferred.
