Certified Medical Assistant Lead

The Certified Medical Assistant Lead role is onsite in Glendale, CA. Compensation is $26–$28 per hour, depending on experience. The lead supports back-office operations at Comprehensive Community Health Centers. The role helps the office manager maintain efficient patient flow and reliable clinical support by training staff, coordinating supplies and equipment, and ensuring established workflows are followed. It also supports patient relations, provider coverage, and facility readiness for audits and evaluations.

What you'll do

• Assist the office manager with back-office operations
• monitor patient flow and referral sources
• cover back-office staff breaks and lunches
• train and retrain staff
• address patient concerns and coordinate with patients, vendors, and referring physicians
• maintain emergency supplies, medications, vaccine stock, logs, and equipment calibration
• interview potential back-office hires
• support audits, evaluations, protocols, staff reviews, incident reporting, and daily problem-solving
• coordinate time-off requests and provider coverage.
