Construction Estimator

Job overview

The Construction Estimator role is hybrid, with an office in Charlotte, NC, and occasional site visits as required. Compensation is $110,000–$160,000 per year. Red Cedar Construction Services builds townhomes, condominiums, multifamily, and select commercial projects across the Southeast. The estimator owns cost development and bid strategy from early design through contract award. The role produces defensible estimates, solicits and levels subcontractor bids, develops scopes, supports buyout, and helps protect project margins through accurate cost analysis and documentation.

What you'll do

• Develop conceptual and detailed estimates
• perform quantity takeoffs
• maintain cost data and estimate templates
• identify scope and budget gaps
• solicit and level subcontractor bids
• develop trade-specific scopes of work
• support buyout and project handoffs
• identify value engineering options
• maintain estimate files and bid documentation
• track estimating performance.
