Network Engineer

The Network Engineer role is onsite in Patuxent River, MD. The salary range is $130,000–$160,000 per year. CaVU provides technical and functional support to clients and partners, including work supporting the MQ-25 Unmanned Carrier Aviation program. The engineer provides end-to-end systems engineering support across RF, COMSEC, and network domains in an advanced lab environment. The role contributes to program lifecycle support through architecture, integration, testing, technical documentation, stakeholder coordination, and training for operational users.

What you'll do

• Support systems engineering for complex programs
• contribute to architecture documentation and capability tracking
• collaborate across engineering and IT teams on integration and delivery
• identify COMSEC incidents and security practices
• provide fill-device and end-unit interface training and troubleshooting
• create technical documents and procedures
• plan and execute network test events
• author test plans and procedures
• conduct packet analysis and throughput testing
• support test readiness reviews.

Why this role

Requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field, CCNA, CompTIA Security+ CE as required by DoD 8140, and a Secret clearance or eligibility to obtain and maintain one. CCNP is desired.
