The Mold Maker – Plastics Manufacturing role is onsite in Chaska, MN; compensation is $30–$60 per hour. The employer’s client manufactures precision plastic components, and this position supports its Tooling team. The role builds, repairs, maintains, and improves high-precision production molds and tooling. By troubleshooting tooling issues, maintaining records, and collaborating with production, engineering, and maintenance teams, the Mold Maker helps limit downtime and support quality and efficiency.

What you'll do

• Fabricate, modify, and repair precision mold components, inserts, and tooling
• maintain, troubleshoot, assemble, and clean production molds
• operate CNC and manual mills, lathes, wire and sinker EDM equipment, grinders, and other toolroom machinery
• document mold history and maintenance
• interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
• support continuous improvement and follow safety and quality procedures.
