Quality Control Field Technician

Job overview

The Quality Control Field Technician role is onsite in the Taylor, AZ area, with pay of $20–$30 per hour. Travel to project sites throughout northern and western Arizona, including overnight stays, is required. The technician supports W.W. Clyde project teams and crews. The role samples and tests construction materials in the field and laboratory, evaluates results against project requirements, and communicates findings to crews and project teams. This work helps verify material quality before and during construction production.

What you'll do

• Sample and test aggregates, soils, base, hot mix asphalt, and concrete
• perform density testing and collect asphalt cores
• conduct concrete field tests
• interpret specifications and testing requirements
• evaluate and report results
• maintain testing records and calibrate equipment
• follow radiation safety, DOT, OSHA, and MSHA requirements
• help train crews on sampling and quality requirements.

Why this role

High school diploma or GED required; ability to obtain ATTI Field Technician and ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade I certifications within six months is required. Travel includes overnight stays, and work may reach six to seven days per week at times.
