The Route Driver role is onsite in North Charleston, SC. Compensation is $21.03 per hour. The driver supports Lowcountry Food Bank’s daily operations by picking up and delivering food and other products to partner agencies, schools, and Regional Food Centers. The role helps ensure safe, accurate, and timely distribution by operating box trucks, handling loading and unloading, following food safety standards, and maintaining vehicle and warehouse readiness. Drivers also represent the food bank professionally in the community.

What you'll do

• Pick up donated products and deliver food to agencies, schools, and Regional Food Centers
• complete and document vehicle inspections
• operate lift gates
• load and unload vehicles
• stage and pull orders
• assist with safe food storage and sorting
• follow food safety and warehouse standards
• maintain vehicles and work areas
• report maintenance issues
• represent the food bank professionally.

Why this role

Requires a valid South Carolina driver’s license, clean driving record, at least three years of box-truck driving experience, and proficiency with forklifts, electric pallet jacks, lift gates, and other warehouse equipment. Schedule is flexible Monday through Saturday.
