This role exists to provide high-quality care to patients by demonstrating expertise in human growth, development, and assessment, working closely with physicians to assist during cardiac and peripheral angiographic studies.

What you'll do

• Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac as well as peripheral angiographic studies
• Monitor, record, and report any symptoms or changes in patient conditions to ensure safety
• Provide accurate and detailed documentation while using the Hemodynamic Monitoring System during procedures
• Assess, plan, and implement specialized care for each patient throughout their procedure
• React quickly to emergency situations, including responding to STEMIs within 30 minutes when on-call
• Offer hemodynamic monitoring assistance and apply understanding of valve areas and pressures
• Prepare patients for their examinations or treatments and assist the medical team as needed
• Communicate important pre- and post-procedure education to patients and their loved ones
• Share knowledge with peers and take an active role in precepting new team members
• Participate in departmental continuous quality improvement initiatives
• Maintain expertise by pursuing continuing education

What we're looking for

Education

Associate degree or above – Required

Experience

A minimum of 1 year of experience in a Cath Lab or EP Lab is preferred, though new graduates from RCIS programs are considered.
