The Social Worker role is onsite in San Juan, PR. Pay is $30,160 per year. The position supports the Boys & Girls Club’s Operations area and Social Pillar. The social worker monitors participants’ well-being and supports their psychosocial and socioemotional development through workshops and educational, social, and cultural experiences. The role connects with families, schools, and the community, follows up on individual interventions, and coordinates support for children and adolescents who may need assistance.

What you'll do

• Build relationships with community members, families, and households
• interview children or adolescents and families and advise parents about referrals
• maintain case histories and reports
• provide guidance on mental health, child care, and social adjustment
• coordinate community and family activities
• advocate for individual and community needs
• collaborate with Club professionals
• supervise and guide subordinates.

Why this role

Requires a bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, education, sociology, or a related field and at least one year of experience working with communities, students, or adolescents. A related master’s degree is preferred; a social work license and professional association membership are preferred.
