ACME Machine Operator

Job overview

The ACME Machine Operator role is onsite in Worcester, MA. Compensation is $21–$25 per hour. The role supports a manufacturing team producing precision metal components for industrial applications. The operator sets up, runs, and monitors multiple-spindle ACME screw machines to produce accurate parts, maintain quality and efficiency, and meet production schedules. Inspection, troubleshooting, and coordination with manufacturing support teams help resolve production issues and maintain customer specifications.

What you'll do

• Set up and operate at least two multiple-spindle ACME screw machines
• produce parts to close tolerances
• interpret blueprints and work instructions
• monitor machine performance and adjust settings
• change tooling and offsets
• inspect parts with precision measuring equipment
• maintain production and inspection records
• troubleshoot machine and tooling issues
• collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering
• follow safety and quality procedures
• participate in continuous improvement.
