The Employment Specialist is an onsite role based in Hershey, PA, supporting work placements across Dauphin, Cumberland, Lancaster, and Lebanon counties. Pay is $21 per hour. Vista Autism Services supports individuals on the autism spectrum or with comparable disabilities in securing and sustaining competitively integrated employment. The specialist helps customers navigate workplace tasks and relationships, identifies and implements accommodations, and coordinates with employers and community partners. The role supports customers in building workplace skills and moving toward natural supports at their place of employment.

What you'll do

• Support customers in job settings using effective teaching strategies
• identify and implement accommodations
• develop job support plans aimed at fading to natural supports
• facilitate interactions with supervisors and coworkers
• coordinate transportation and schedule changes with customers or guardians
• monitor and report worksite performance
• use applied behavior analysis principles to reduce undesirable behavior and document incidents
• complete service billing and paperwork
• debrief difficult situations with businesses
• participate in assigned professional development and training.
