Trash and Linen Technician, Part-Time

The Trash and Linen Technician role is onsite in Port Arthur, TX, part-time, Monday through Friday and weekends, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Pay is $10 per hour. The role supports a safe, clean, and sanitary environment for patients, staff, and visitors at a healthcare facility. The technician handles linen processing and waste collection, helping keep patient-care areas supplied and hygienic. The role supports infection control and safety by following hospital procedures for linen handling, waste segregation, hazardous materials, and cleaning.

What you'll do

• Operate washers, dryers, and folding machines
• remove soiled linens and collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute clean linen
• monitor linen inventory and report shortages
• collect and segregate general, biohazard, recyclable, and pharmaceutical waste
• transport waste to designated areas
• follow procedures for hazardous and biohazardous waste, labeling, and containment
• clean and sanitize waste areas, carts, and containers
• maintain cleanliness in hallways, utility rooms, and loading docks.

Why this role
