The Processing Maintenance Mechanic role is onsite in Austin, IN; compensation is $33.35–$36.70 per hour. The full-time, union-based position supports processing, batching, filling, and seaming equipment at Morgan Foods’ manufacturing facility. The mechanic performs setup, changeovers, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to help maintain equipment reliability, product quality, food safety, and efficient production. The role works with Maintenance, Processing, Production, and Quality Assurance teams.

What you'll do

• Set up, assemble, inspect, adjust, and maintain processing equipment
• support filling-line and can-size changeovers
• evaluate can seams and adjust equipment
• maintain product net weights
• inspect and document finished-product magnets
• troubleshoot and repair equipment
• complete preventive and corrective maintenance work orders in Maximo
• follow lockout/tagout and equipment safety procedures
• report conditions affecting food safety, quality, employee safety, or operations
• follow GMP, SQF, HACCP, allergen, and company safety requirements
• collaborate across departments.
