The Security Officer, Access Control — Weekends role is onsite in Columbia, SC, at a chemical/petrochemical location. Compensation is $18.85 per hour. The role safeguards the site by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, managing visitor and badge access, responding to alarms, and conducting patrols. It also provides customer service and communicates incidents to site contacts and emergency responders as appropriate.

What you'll do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel
• follow site-specific procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities
• monitor entry and exit points
• verify identification and authorization
• issue visitor credentials and maintain access records
• control contractor, vendor, and vehicle access
• respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations
• conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter.
