Production Operator Lead, Weekend First Shift

The Production Operator Lead, Weekend First Shift role is onsite in Lowell, MA, working Friday through Monday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Compensation is $34–$36 per hour. The role supports the launch and ongoing operation of Rapid Micro Biosystems’ new weekend production shift. The lead helps meet production targets while maintaining quality and GMP compliance. By coordinating shift activities, supporting employees, and addressing production issues, the role contributes to safe, consistent production operations.

What you'll do

• Work safely and follow safety rules
• communicate production issues and resolutions to management
• troubleshoot production systems
• lead up to 15 employees
• manage PHR review and correction processes to support GMP compliance
• maintain preventive maintenance schedules
• oversee shift attendance, break coverage, emergencies, performance, and production reporting
• communicate shift pass-downs
• hold team members accountable for production targets
• develop team members’ technical and leadership skills
• support process improvements
• ensure materials are stocked and prepared
• process daily SAP transactions
• perform shift startups and shutdowns.
