What you'll do

• Greet patients and visitors
• manage the reception and waiting areas
• document and route messages
• schedule appointments
• complete patient registration and insurance verification
• assist with sliding-fee applications and referrals
• collect and process payments
• scan and index documents in electronic health records
• monitor schedules and recalls
• keep patients informed about delays and available support
• collaborate with the care team and contribute to workflow and quality-improvement efforts. May cover other shifts or PHC clinics in Ames, Des Moines, and Marshalltown.
