Senior Piping Designer/Checker

The Senior Piping Designer/Checker role is onsite in Pittsburgh, PA. Compensation is $45–$55 per hour. The position is for a client in the Pittsburgh area and may serve as Discipline Design Lead or, when assigned, Project Design Lead. The role produces and checks piping design layouts and finished drawings for custom projects, helping ensure drawings are accurate and error-free. Field surveys, engineering support, interpretation of project documents, and coordination with designers and drafters contribute to effective design and project execution.

What you'll do

• Produce piping design layouts, sketches, and finished drawings
• conduct field surveys and provide engineering support
• check assigned drawings for accuracy
• lead internal and external designers or drafters as Discipline Design Lead and, when assigned, as Project Design Lead
• interpret P&IDs, vendor drawings, and piping details.
