Diesel Mechanic Technician

The Diesel Mechanic Technician role is an onsite position based in Rocky Mount, NC, with compensation of $30.50 per hour. This role supports the maintenance and repair operations for Ryder System's heavy-duty vehicle fleet. The primary purpose of this role is to perform routine preventative maintenance, diagnose complex mechanical and electronic issues, and execute repairs to ensure the safety and reliability of the company's fleet. The technician will utilize diagnostic tools and shop management systems to document work and maintain compliance with safety and DOT regulations.

What you'll do

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance
• Performs preventive maintenance
• Diagnoses complex mechanical and electronic problems
• Completes complex and detailed mechanical inspections & repairs
• Replaces defective components
• Performs facility maintenance duties
• Interacts with customers/drivers
• Utilizes Shop Management System
• Acts as mentor for Tech 1 and Tech 2 levels.
