What you'll do

• Assess and monitor obstetric patients through labor, delivery, and recovery
• perform continuous fetal monitoring and interpret fetal heart rate tracings
• administer medications, IV therapy, and oxytocin per physician orders
• assist with vaginal and operative deliveries and immediate newborn care
• recognize emergencies and initiate intervention
• provide postpartum care, newborn assessment, feeding support, and discharge education. Required credentials include state RN licensure, BLS, NRP, and ACLS
• labor and delivery or obstetric nursing experience is required.
