The After School Program Lead Teacher works at off-site school locations throughout the Grand Rapids area, with compensation of $17.09–$21.36 per hour. The schedule requires Monday–Friday availability from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The YMCA of Greater Grand Rapids provides children a safe, reliable, and engaging place after the school day. The Lead Teacher plans and leads classroom activities, supervises children, and communicates with families to support a safe and enriching after-school experience.

What you'll do

• Plan and lead daily lessons
• organize and participate in games and activities
• provide lesson plans and daily activity information to parents
• prepare activity materials
• maintain attendance and arrival/departure records
• supervise children
• conduct annual parent-teacher conferences
• maintain classroom supplies and equipment.
