FIT Family Partner

Job overview

What you'll do

• Engage caregivers in home and community settings
• use lived experience to provide peer mentoring and support
• help families navigate behavioral health, school, child welfare, juvenile justice, medical, and community systems
• coach parenting, advocacy, and problem-solving
• co-facilitate family meetings and treatment planning
• provide crisis guidance
• and document services in accordance with agency and program standards.

Why this role

Requires lived experience as a parent or caregiver of a youth with emotional, behavioral, or mental health needs, plus either a high school diploma/GED and two years of relevant caregiver experience or a human services associate’s or bachelor’s degree and 1–2 years working with children, youth, or families. Frequent travel, evenings, some weekends, and participation in an on-call rotation are stated.
