The anticipated salary is $225,000–$260,000 per year. Direct Counsel is recruiting for a leading AmLaw 100 firm’s Corporate practice. The associate advises clients on energy, infrastructure, and corporate transactions, supporting matters from research and document negotiation through closing. The role contributes to transaction strategy and execution in collaboration with clients, stakeholders, attorneys, and business professionals.
What you'll do
- Advise sponsors, developers, investors, financial institutions, and other clients on energy, infrastructure, and corporate transactions
- support mergers and acquisitions, project development, project finance, joint ventures, and strategic investments
- conduct legal research and analysis
- draft, review, and negotiate legal documents
- assist with transaction management and closing
- participate in negotiations, client calls, meetings, and closings
- maintain client and stakeholder relationships
- collaborate across practice groups
- monitor legal developments
- contribute to professional development, pro bono, firm, and community activities.
