Project Accountant

Job overview

The Project Accountant role is onsite in Fairfax, VA, with annual compensation of $75,000–$90,000 and a Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. schedule. The position supports project financials and partners with project teams to maintain the financial health of multiple projects. The role maintains accurate project accounting records and supports billing, payables, close activities, budget monitoring, and reporting. Its work helps project managers and finance leadership track costs, address variances, and maintain financial accuracy across assigned projects.

• Maintain project job-cost records and assist with monthly close

• process accounts payable invoices and approvals
• maintain ERP documentation
• track subcontractor documents
• prepare check runs
• monitor budgets and cost variances
• follow up on receivables
• assist with reporting and reconciliations.
