Sous Chef, Hotel Events and Catering

The Sous Chef role is onsite in Bozeman, MT, with pay of $26 per hour. The position supports culinary operations at the AC Hotel, including outlets, banquets, catering, and special events. The sous chef helps maintain consistent food quality and efficient kitchen operations while serving as the primary culinary coordinator for events and catering. The role also supports kitchen leadership, staffing, purchasing, inventory, menu execution, and food safety so guests receive consistent service.

What you'll do

• Assist with daily kitchen management and maintain food quality, consistency, presentation, and portion standards
• support breakfast, lounge, Benchmark, banquet, catering, and special-event services
• work culinary stations as needed
• assist with menu development, recipe standardization, and product testing
• coordinate banquet and catering functions, review BEOs, develop prep schedules, and coordinate with Banquets, Sales, and Operations
• supervise and develop cooks
• assist with recruiting, onboarding, training, scheduling, ordering, inventory, and cost control
• maintain food safety and sanitation standards.

Why this role
