What you'll do

• Under supervision, learn professional phone etiquette and patient scheduling, EHR basics using MEDENT, patient check-in and check-out, patient flow, front-desk tasks, filing, faxing and copying, medical terminology, psychiatric services, insurance billing and coding, and HIPAA compliance.
• The program includes orientation and confidentiality training, observation and shadowing, then supervised hands-on practice.
• Completion requires at least 600 hours.
