The Bike Guide — 2027 Season role is onsite in Bryson City, NC, and is seasonal from mid-April through mid-October. Compensation is $12–$15.50 per hour. The Nantahala Outdoor Center offers outdoor recreation, including guided and unguided biking on its Flint Ridge Trail system. The guide supports a safe, enjoyable guest experience by fitting bikes and helmets, explaining basic techniques and trail conditions, answering questions, and leading trips as needed. The role also helps maintain trails and bikes and may assist other Adventure Center operations as qualified and assigned.

What you'll do

• Fit guests with bikes and helmets
• educate guests on bike use and techniques
• explain trail locations, conditions, and hazards
• lead guided bike trips as necessary
• answer equipment and fit questions
• share local trail information
• assist with guest preparation and customer service for zip line and biking guests
• help maintain the Flint Ridge trail system and bike fleet as necessary.
