The role monitors student progress, maintains compliant records, communicates with families, and supports academic achievement and individualized goals.

What you'll do

• Provide instruction in core curriculum and assigned special education areas
• use instructional resources and technologies
• adapt materials and equipment and maintain suitable learning environments
• participate in evaluating student needs and developing and implementing IEPs
• maintain student records in compliance with due process requirements
• evaluate performance and report progress toward IEP goals
• communicate with parents and participate in parent-teacher conferences
• manage classrooms, enforce conduct rules, and take appropriate disciplinary action when necessary.
