Childwatch Attendant — Westview YMCA, Mornings

Job overview

The Childwatch Attendant role is onsite in Bennington, NE. Compensation is $15–$15.75 per hour. The role supports children and caregivers through the YMCA of Greater Omaha’s Childwatch program; evening and weekend work may be required. The position exists to provide a safe, nurturing setting for participating children while supporting the YMCA’s youth development and community work. It contributes through planned activities, positive relationships, safety practices, and communication with families and staff.

What you'll do

• Organize and carry out activities for participating children
• build positive relationships and communicate with parents, children, and staff
• follow safety, cleanliness, medical, disciplinary, abuse-prevention, and emergency procedures
• maintain attendance and other program records
• participate in family nights, program activities, meetings, training, and fundraising efforts.

Why this role

Applicants must be at least 16 and able to work with children ages 6 weeks to 8 years. Program-specific and abuse-prevention training is required before the first shift; YMCA culture training and BLS CPR/AED/First Aid are required within 30 days.
