The Yard Spotter – 2nd Shift role is onsite in Chicago, IL. Pay is $21.50 per hour. Testa Produce is a wholesale produce and food-service distributor serving customers in Illinois, Wisconsin, and Indiana. The spotter stages and moves trucks and trailers safely and accurately to support loading, transport, and warehouse operations. The role coordinates equipment placement with warehouse personnel and management, checks refrigeration settings, and works with the maintenance shop to ensure equipment is ready for use.

What you'll do

• Stage trailers and trucks for loading and transport while maintaining temperature control
• maneuver vehicles into loading docks and yard stalls
• conduct pre-trip and safety checks
• fuel equipment with diesel and DEF as needed
• check refrigeration set points
• coordinate equipment movement with warehouse personnel
• work with transportation and warehouse management on route equipment
• coordinate with maintenance and transport fleet equipment to and from service providers as needed.

Why this role

Requires a Class A Commercial Driver License and ability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 4:00 PM–12:00 AM, with some mandatory holiday work.
