Technician, AI Data Center Power Systems

The Technician, AI Data Center Power Systems role is based at Karman’s headquarters in Ann Arbor, Michigan, with flexibility for occasional remote work. Compensation is $100,000–$130,000 annually. Karman develops AI technology for electric-grid and data-center power management. The technician supports deployment, integration, testing, and operation of high-density AI/HPC electrical infrastructure and pilot systems. The role helps bring rack-level power systems and pre-production hardware from engineering development into deployment by troubleshooting, validating systems, and improving repeatable build and test processes.

What you'll do

• Assist with rack-level power integration and build or modify rack power distribution systems
• route cables and document wiring
• support mechanical and electrical rack integration
• assist with deployments at local and remote sites
• coordinate with data center operators
• support pilot builds, system bring-up, debugging, validation testing, and hardware engineering
• help develop repeatable build and test processes and identify integration issues.
