Master Upholsterer – Trim and Upholstery Lead

The Master Upholsterer – Trim and Upholstery Lead position is onsite in Bogart, GA, and pays $30–$40 per hour. The role is full-time in Ulm Automotive’s Production department and reports to the Production Manager. Ulm converts incomplete Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis into luxury passenger vehicles. The upholsterer establishes the company’s soft-trim quality standard, creates repeatable patterns and specifications, performs complex upholstery work, and trains production technicians. The role supports consistent, high-quality interiors across the vehicle production line.

What you'll do

• Pattern, cut, sew, fit, wrap, repair, and refinish vehicle upholstery and trim
• maintain patterns, templates, and sewing specifications
• set up and run the trim station
• train and qualify technicians
• plan station work with the Production Manager
• inspect finished trim and incoming materials
• track material yield
• support new designs and prototypes
• follow shop safety and housekeeping standards.
