What you'll do

• Interpret and fill drug orders
• counsel patients
• contact physicians about prescription questions
• dispense prescriptions and compound or prepare IV admixtures if applicable
• monitor drug therapy for contraindications, interactions, allergies, and appropriateness
• maintain medication records and controlled-drug inventory
• supervise pharmacy technicians
• provide drug information
• participate in inventory control, education, meetings, and performance improvement
• maintain regular attendance and comply with company policies.
