Certified Medical Assistant

What you'll do

• Welcome patients and respond to inquiries
• prepare patients and examination rooms
• verify patient information and record medical history and vital signs
• assist providers with examinations, procedures, and minor surgeries
• perform basic laboratory tests and prepare specimens
• administer medications, immunizations, and injections as directed
• draw blood, take EKGs, remove sutures, and change dressings
• educate patients
• maintain records, supplies, equipment, and required temperature logs
• assist with referrals and tracking labs, radiology, and EKGs.
