The Optician role is onsite in La Grange, IL, with compensation of $20–$24 per hour. Big City Optical supports its mission of providing eye care in local communities. This role helps patients meet their vision needs by working with optometrists’ recommendations, guiding eyewear selection, and fitting and adjusting frames and lenses. It also supports order quality, patient follow-up, inventory, and store operations.

What you'll do

• Conduct pre-examination assessments
• work with the optometrist on patient vision requirements
• help patients select frames and lenses
• measure and fit eyeglasses and contact lenses
• explain lens options
• monitor orders and update patients
• assess order quality before pickup
• support inventory tasks
• handle patient records, store operations, and insurance billing
• make follow-up calls.
