The Senior Managing Consultant — Surface Transportation role may be remote in the U.S. or hybrid from one of HMMH’s listed offices, including Burlington, MA. The salary range is $95,000–$130,000 per year. HMMH consults on the study, assessment, and mitigation of infrastructure impacts, including transportation noise and vibration. The consultant provides technical leadership, project delivery, staff mentorship, and business development for the Surface Transportation Group. The role leads complex rail and highway analyses and helps clients evaluate impacts and mitigation while supporting the group’s growth.

What you'll do

• Manage complex noise and vibration projects, including scope, schedule, budget, staffing, quality, and client communication
• conduct and oversee highway, rail, and transit analyses
• design and supervise measurement programs
• prepare and review technical reports and models
• supervise subconsultants and coordinate multidisciplinary teams
• mentor staff
• develop proposals and business development plans
• maintain client relationships
• travel to client sites, conferences, and industry events up to 25% of the time.
