Patient Account Representative

The representative serves as the primary contact for patient billing and account questions, helping resolve balances and insurance issues and coordinate statement and bad-debt processes. Accurate account updates, payment reconciliation, and timely responses support the practice’s patient service and revenue-cycle operations.

What you'll do

• Respond to patient inquiries about statements, balances, and billing
• collect payments for upcoming surgeries and past-due encounters
• coordinate statement and billing follow-up with MPS
• respond to inquiries within 24 hours
• review bad-debt reports and send letters to patients with upcoming appointments
• update accounts transferred to bad debt and transfer eligible accounts to Revco
• post and reconcile MPS payments and NSF checks
• serve as liaison with MPS and Choice Recovery.
